Marking of final exams completed

A total of 48 students took the final exam. The average mark is 68.9%, standard deviation = 10.5%.

The lowest and highest marks are 44% and 92% respectively. The distribution is as follows [range of marks (number of students)]:

40%-49.5% (1); 50%-59.5% (10); 60%-69.5% (15); 70%-79.5% (16); 80%-89.5% (5); 90%-100% (1).

The distribution of the evaluation results for the entire course is as follows [range of marks, letter grade (number of students)]:

80%-100%, A (12); 70%-79% B (22); 60%-69%, C (11); 50%-59%, D (3).

Term Test Results Announced in Class on Friday March 5, 2004

If you missed class on Mar 5, the results (marks listed by student numbers as well as a distribution histogram for the class) are now posted outside MSB 5363. A total of 53 students took the test. The average mark was 67.2%, standard deviation = 9.7%. The lowest and highest marks were 47% and 84.5% respectively. Please note that the term test papers will not be returned. If you wish to see your test, please contact Dr. Alan Davidson, you may look at your test in his office.
